US VS UK...VS Germany?

Yes, today is a special day. I found 3 versions to a cover. Yes 3! :O *gasp*

US Cover

UK Cover

German Cover

I am loving this. my list would have to go UK cover, German cover, and then US cover. I love the way 'Evermore' is written in the UK cover. Its my fave. The German cover I likes too. I like the black/white/red thing. I know lots of cover have it, but I have always loved it. It was one of the main reasons I picked up Twilight in the first place.

Wait! Don't go! I have another one!

US Cover

UK Cover

Ok, US totally kicked arse on this one. Again black, white, and a touch of purple. Exquisite. The drawing on the UK cover ain't bad, but the US one just rules.

I am watching Grey's Anatomy, does anybody like that show? I loves it.

Friday Finds-City of Fallen Angels

Well if you know how to read, you probably already know about this. But I just had to say it myself. Cassandra Clare... no, sorry... The Great Cassandra Clare- see, that's more like it- is writing ANOTHER Mortal Instruments book. But! This one is all about SIMON.

City of Fallen Angels will publish in hardcover in March 2011, followed by a paperback edition in July 2012.

Love, blood, betrayal and revenge — the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels. Simon Lewis is having some trouble adjusting to his new life as a vampire, especially now that he hardly sees his best friend Clary, who is caught up in training to be a Shadowhunter—and spending time with her new boyfriend Jace. Not to mention that Simon doesn't quite know how to handle the pressure of not-quite-dating two girls at once. What's a daylight-loving vampire to do? Simon decides he needs a break and heads out of the city—only to discover that sinister events are following him. Realizing that the war they thought they'd won might not yet be over, Simon has to call on his Shadowhunter friends to save the day — if they can put their own splintering relationships on hold long enough to rise to the challenge.

Sadly, there is no cover yet. Cassandra also has another series coming out, she has a lot of work in her hands...

Book One: The Clockwork Angel, Simon and Schuster, 2010
Book Two: The Clockwork Prince, Simon and Schuster, 2011
Book Three: The Clockwork Princess, Simon and Schuster, 2012

The Infernal Devices will be also be published in the UK and Australia by Walker Books, and in Germany by Arena Verlag, starting in 2010.

I also have an announcement from Cassandra's blog:

"And the one everyone's been waiting for . . . A lot of you already have intimations of this announcement, given that it was mentioned in Variety and other news outlets — but I wanted to wait until all the contracts were signed and the ink was dry before I said anything. So: the film rights to The Mortal Instruments have been optioned by Unique Features. This is a film production company set up by former founders and co-presidents of New Line Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne, who oversaw the production of the Lord of the Rings movies — probably my favorite fantasy movies of all time. They're very dedicated to fantasy and they understand it, and I definitely trust them with the story of the Mortal Instruments.

Now, a book series being optioned doesn't mean a film is being made right now or is definitely going to be made at all — it means that the studio or production company in question is developing the books as a film project — right now they've nailed down financing and a screenwriter (I don't know who that is yet) and are working towards the next stages in the development project. It is, however, an important step in the movie-making process, so I feel like it's okay to be excited about it. :) "

This is epic, and A-mazing. Well, I want know know what you think so, get on with it!

In My Mailbox VI

Well I got some books recently, but I don't really keep track so, this are the ones I remember.

From Contest Win (Seriously? I won something?)

This is one Ive been wanting to read for far too long. Unfortunately it's going to have to take a number.

To Review:

DARKLIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention this one before? I do not remember... And Once a Witch, which I got like yesterday? I think. School is being a pain, so much work, it's tiring me out. I have to wait to read Darklight since it's coming out in December and I don't want to post a review too soon. But Once a Witch Ill try to squeeze in.

I did an interview with Lesley Livingston which I am posting on the 3rd week of September. So you have that to look forward to. And my review of ASH will be posted the day it is released, but Ill try to read another book so I have a review posted this week.

Extra: Something random about me. I'm sixteen, and a senior in High School. I have no idea what I'm going to major in, but on the top of my list I have Editing, Architecture, and Psychology. That's it for today.

Happy Reading!

Review: Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr

Title: Fragile Eternity
Series: Wicked Lovely series.
Book #: 3rd
Author: Melissa Marr
Pages: 400
Publisher: Harpercollins
Tags: Fantasy, Fiction
Recommended to: Faerie Fans
Rating: .5

"If only love could last eternally"

Aislinn never expected to rule the very creatures who'd always terrified her—but that was before Keenan. He stole her mortality to make her a monarch, and now she faces challenges and enticements beyond any she'd ever imagined.

Seth never expected he would want to settle down with anyone—but that was before Aislinn. She is everything he'd ever dreamed of, and he wants to be with her forever. Forever takes on new meaning, though, when your girlfriend is an immortal faery queen.

In Melissa Marr's third mesmerizing tale of Faerie, Seth and Aislinn struggle to stay true to themselves and each other in a milieu of shadowy rules and shifting allegiances, where old friends become new enemies and one wrong move could plunge the Earth into chaos.

Taschima's POV:

Wicked Lovely, a great beginning.

Ink Exchange, a very confusing book, but very dark and a new side of the story.

Fragile Eternity, a bridge between books.

This book is more the second book in the series than Ink Exchange will ever be. The questions that were left unsolved in Wicked Exchange were gradually being answered. But not completely. Instead it gave us MORE questions. Will there be war? Can Ash and Seth really work it out? Will Kennan stop being an ass anytime soon?

Actually in respect to the characters, especially Kennan, I get them. I get the white and the dark side of each. Each character has a reason for the things they do. Like for example Kennan, I could easily debate both sides. Is he an ass? Maybe. It really depends on your point of view. He does everything he can for his court, his court is his life, but he makes some choices that aren't really in his, or anyone's, best interest. See what I mean? Each character is like that. Character wise, bravo Melissa.

Now relationship wise? Writing wise? Agh, I give it a rough 3.5. It's just so confusing at times. You just want to smack it in the head and say, but dude, you just said you were going to do that! Or in the writing, it's like, am, but are they feeling this, or that? It really doesn't come across as clear as I would like.

My feeling towards this book were like this. I was pleased, it was a book between books, like a bridge. I get that it had to be this way for various reasons. We get to have more Seth time, and he goes through some stuff which will be key in the future. Also we get to meet the Faerie court. Which was about damn time.

I am certain the fourth book will be more powerful, and probably the best of the series. Well, it has the potential to be anyways. Hope Melissa uses all the tension she has been building and give us a ravishing fourth installment.

Interview With Daniel, Dina, & Characters fron AF

So, today is August 25th. And that means that Another Faust comes out today! Happy release day!

I wanted to do something extra, not only a happy release post, but something more. So I asked Dina if we could have an interview, and she gladly said yes, and even Daniel wanted in on the action. It's kind of long, but worth the reading.

Talk to me about Another Faust.

Well, it’s a retelling of the original Faust, written by Goethe. In our version, the events take place at a modern NYC prep school and involve five teenagers who are each so desperate for something that they are willing to sell their souls to the devil (who is embodied by a very unlikely figure in their lives). We wrote Another Faust as the first book in “Another Series”, with every book a retelling of a classic tale, set at the Marlowe School. The idea behind the series is to write fun, modern stories using old tales, so that teens will become interested in reading the originals and see how totally approachable and fun the oldest stories really are. Also,
we’ve packed the book with all sorts of historical and literary references which are fun to figure out. There are several historical characters that we imply “may” have done some deal making, but we don’t name them. So it’s fun to try to figure it out.

Daniel, Dina, which one of you was the one who can up with the idea for Another Faust? How do you guys work? I mean, does one give ideas and the other write? or is it different?

Dina: The idea changed so much since we partnered, that it really wouldn't have been the same without either one of us. We each brought important elements to the original idea. As for ideas and writing, we actually divide that up pretty equally. The writing is definitely 50/50, an equal contribution by both of us (in fact, we both heavily edit even the chapters that the other one writes). As for ideas, we spend hours and hours on skype brainstorming together before we ever set pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard). So the ideas are the result of hours of discussion and brainstorming and daydreaming and fighting.

Daniel: We each write one chapter, then the other one butchers it with a red pen. Then we scream at each other for a several hours, veering off into personal attacks on our childhood insecurities, personal hygiene, and whom our mother loves best. Then we go point by point and negotiate every jot and tittle. We proceed to scream some more, but this time, staying on point. Then we eat something. The conversation turns to food, a subject we're both very excited about, and agree on almost every time. We get excited about tea. Suddenly, the other one doesn't seem like such an obstinate goon. We hug. We consider giving in on one or more points of contention. We get back to the writing. Seems pretty decent. We go with it.

This is a series right? The ending was pretty much left open for possibility.

Dina: Yes, it’s a series. The second book is called Another Pan, and it follows Madame Vileroy as she leaves the house and has to inhabit another body so that she can continue to haunt the Marlowe School. As the name implies, the second book is also a retelling! It takes place in the school year after Another Faust and it gives a lot more information about Madame Vileroy’s personal history (it actually answers the question of, “what was her original identity?”).

Daniel: Yeah, but it's a whole different KIND of series. The through-thread is this idea of classic stories happening in the school of Marlowe, and the darkness that has chosen to infest this school (Vileroy in the first book). So we keep the setting, and the darkness, but everything else will have that new story smell.

How many books shall we expect?

Dina: As long as we have readers, we will write!

Daniel: Well, the Western Canon has what, like, several hundred titles in it...something thereabouts.

Do you guys have favorite characters? Or least favorite?

Dina: My favorite characters are Madame Vileroy and Valentin. I usually like the bad characters best. Though that doesn't apply to Victoria, because I hate her. :)

Daniel: My favorite character? Doc Holiday, Ignatius Reilly, Batman, Don Quixote, Pangloss...wait, you mean in Another Faust? Oh, then, um, Buddy. Least favorite? I'm no fan of any of the parents in Another Faust.

I won't ask anymore questions in concern with the story, I don't want to give out any spoilers xD

As I was talking to Dina & Daniel, the characters happen to stumble in. I decided to question them as well, if not just for the hell of it.

Hey guys, tell me a little about yourself's.

Victoria looks at me like I'm utterly stupid "Isn't it "yourselves"? and No."
Not being able to ignore Victoria's attitude, Bice steps into my defense "No, it can be "your self's" in the sense that each of us is referred to in the second person singular. Now, answering your question Taschima, I used to be a twin."
Belle, completely unaware of the whole thing, gets excited and starts babbling, "What do you want to hear? Wow, the dweeby-ness is making me break out."
Christian goes back to the previous discussion, I don't know if in defense of Bice or myself, but it doesn't really matter, "Yeah, we shouldn't pick on people's writing. It's really mean. We should just answer the question. I live with my best friend. His name is Buddy, though I don’t know where he came from. I hate processed meats."
Valentine, with a huge grin on his face, decides to step in, "What question?" He wouldn’t answer this one. He went back in time and kept me from asking it.

Ok, what was I asking? Oh yeah...

Do any of you have favorites among each other?

Victoria, while yawning, manages to say "Silly question, everyone likes themselves best. Or, wait, them self's."
Belle nods "I kind of see what Victoria is getting at. I mean, I like my sister best, but I mean, I see her point."
Ignoring Victoria and Belle, Christian looks at me and says "Bice."
Bice nods in agreement "Christian" Though she rather it be Belle.
Valentin starts giving me his best argument "You know we're not really related right? Cause if I say I like the hot one best, I don't want you to think it's because she's funny or fun to be around. It's entirely because she's straight up hot." Rewinds, composes himself. "I like Mahatma Gandhi best... or Madame Vileroy."

Am, sure Valentine...

How are you liking your New York life?

Victoria thinks for a second, then says, "Eh. I've seen better.Though people say New York is the only place to be. Give me a year, I’ll rule this town!"
Bice, looks for just a minute a lot older than she appears "It’s the same as my life everywhere else. Confusing. It's nice though, sometimes. But I have my own place I like to hang out."
The one who looks very excited is Belle. "So far good. I have the best boyfriend. I’ve solved my little “problem” and everyone loves me..." She looks uncertain before saying "Except maybe Bice."
Christian looks like he could be anywhere and not really care "I just take it one day at a time...trust in my coaches...give it a hundred percent...I’m winning games. I don’t have to eat generic cereal. So it’s okay, I guess."
Valentin, always the devils advocate, says "I liked it better in fifties. People are the same everywhere. But yeah, New York has the hottest ladies."

Valentine, Victoria, Belle - Do you guys ever miss your parents?

Valentine is the first one to answer "No, they’re jerks. Good riddance."
Victoria looks as if this question were the stupidest one Ive asked yet "Are you kidding? Madame Vileroy is all the parent I need."
While Victoria, yet again proves how evil she is, I look at Belle. She looks very torn, then she says "All the time, but I try not to dwell on it. I don't like to talk about it, really." I leave it at that.

I go back to where Daniel & Dina are and ask them one final question. Last, but not least, can you give us any clues about how the story will continue? Do you have a title for the next book yet?

Dina: Another Pan!

Daniel: Yep, Another Pan. A cursed Egyptian bloodline, the charming yet dangerous Peter and his international orphan syndicate, daring escapes, nerdy angst, lust posing as love, love posing as bad parenting, pretty much everything you could hope for in a second date with the devil.

Well, I gotta say, I really liked this interview! Daniel & Dina are very creative people. Now if you would like to know more about the authors, or the series, check out their Main Website. "Whoever said beauty equals good, was tremendously mistaken"

One night, across four cities, five children disappear. Years later, five enigmatic teenagers appear at an exclusive New York holiday party with their strange but beautiful governess, Madame Vileroy. Rumor and mystery follow the Faust children to the elite Marlowe School, where their presence brings unexplainable misfortune.

Using a series of “gifts” given to them by Madame Vileroy, the children are able to soar to suspicious heights at Marlowe. The gifts seem child-like in their simplicity. The governess teaches them to cheat, steal, hide, and lie; ‘harmless’ she calls them, though they are much more. For the vicious over-achiever, reading an unsuspecting mind is simply to cheat. For the reclusive pariah, the gift of stopping time is just another way to hide. And who but an aspiring writer can weave a convincing lie?

Soon, Madame Vileroy’s gifts become darker and more complex. Living in a gray home designed to cultivate and corrupt them, they are enveloped in the side effects of their own addictions. They live cursed lives, making deals with the devil as they claw their way toward their goals….that is until two of them begin to uncover secrets more shocking than their most unforgivable sins. A modern retelling of an ancient dilemma, Another Faust recreates the story of the Faustian bargain. Set in present-day New York, but spanning the centuries, it is a chilling tale of ambition, consequences, and ultimate redemption.

Taschima's POV:

This is a very unique story. Deals with the devil are often find in literature, but with this one spin off you will find the theme more enticing that is has ever been before.

It starts off with 5 children who have nothing in common. Their pasts are different, their desires, their strengths, etc. But they do have one thing in common, they want more. They are touched by one of the 7 deadly sins, Greed. For some of them, it is not really necessary, but for others it's a necessary means to a goal. They meet this beautiful woman, who promises them all they ever wanted, and more. One night, 5 children disappear, only to be seen 5 years later on the streets of New York city.

This story is as dark as the night. It read to me as in Gossip Girl with a devilish twist. It wasn't all about gossip, but it had all the style of GG.

The characters are complicated. Nothing is as it seems on the outer shell. You got Victoria, my least favorite character, which is the greediest of them all. She wants power, and will go till the extremes to get it. Even if she has to run you down with a truck. Even if she has to cheat to get it.

Valentine, the tortured poet. With his talent for lying, this kid thinks he can go to great heights.

Christian, the jock who only wants to be the best at sports. Who doesn't want to be poor, or go hungry. And if that means he has to steal, well, bring it on.

Belle, the beautiful one. Everybody wants her, but nobody can get close enough to actually touch her. Her smell is foul, as if her soul were rotting inside.

And finally Bice, who only wants to be alone, which she accomplishes by hiding away from people, but at the same time, she is desperately in need of a friend.

Easy? I didn't think so. The authors put some weird names to the powers of this characters, which really irritated me. While putting new names to the techniques we already know might put some extra uniqueness to the story, it just gets on the border of annoying after a while.

At sometimes the story was confusing. I am not going to lie. But highly enjoyable. Which kept me turning the pages, trying to solve the riddle.

This book is coming out in two days! So you might want to run to your nearest book store and, I don't know, BUY IT?

**In another topic some people were asking where I got the information about Shadowland coming out earlier. Well I got it here. I am so glad its coming out earlier than expected!

Special Review of The Time Travelers Wife

Title: The Time Traveler's Wife
Producer: Robert Schwentke
Writers: Bruce Joel Rubin (screenplay)
Audrey Fiffenegger (novel)
Main Actors: Eric Bana (Henry DeTamble)
Rachel McAdams (Clare Abshire)
Tags: Romance, Drama
Recommended to: The Notebook Fans
Rating: .4

"We all want to be loved over, and over, and over again"

A Chicago librarian suffers from a rare genetic disorder that sends him hurtling through time whenever he is under extreme duress; despite the fact that he vanishes at inordinately frequent and lengthily intervals, he attempts to build a stable future with the beautiful young heiress he loves.

Clare has been in love with Henry her entire life. She believes they are destined to be together, even though she never knows when they will be separated. Despite the fact that Henry's travels force them apart with no warning, Clare desperately tries to build a life with her one true love.

Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams star in this dramatic fantasy, which is directed by Robert Schwentke and based on the best-selling book by author Audrey Niffenegger.

Taschima:

So, first things first, the book is better than the movie. Don't get me wrong, there have been cases which Ive preferred the movie to the book, i.e. The Notebook, but this one the book gave a knock out to the movie and left it grasping for breath.

The Time Travelers Wife's book wins over The Notebook's book, but The Notebook's movie wins over The Time Traveler's Wife movie.

Why you ask? Mainly the characters. They choose very good representatives for Henry and Clare (Clare mostly), but I think I didn't get to know them as well as when I read the book. Actually no, scratch that, I think I didn't get to know Clare as much as I would have wished. They needed to give us more Clare time, and less Henry time, or balance it out somehow.

In other times I thought they went too soft with some of the scenes. In the book there is this one part where the father and the son are talking for the very first time, where Henry makes his father cry. Well it is in the movie, but it isn't as powerful as it should have been. The actors needed to go more harsh, more aggressive, and sadly that didn't happen.

Also they made one of my fave parts of the book vanish. *WHOOSH* Disappear- kind of like Henry. But other than this, the stuff they cut, it didn't really hurt the story in itself, but it surely will make those who read the book a little mad. I was attached to how things went in the book, I would have loved to see the ending of the book in the movie, but that also didn't happen.

And why not put the dates SOMEWHERE on the screen? People can get lost in time! Like, they could have added somewhere a little date or something. Maybe something like the book, the date and age of the characters at said date.

I know this review doesn't sound very happy, and most of you are thinking, why the hell did you gave it a 4.4 then? Well ill tell you now.

The actors were almost perfect (I didnt like the girl they choose for their daughter), and the movie in itself was magnificent. I love Rachel McAdams! I didn't know she was the one on Mean Girls! It's amazing how, in contrast with other actors, she has been able to leave that role behind and make a name for herself in the movie business.

The atmosphere of the movie was also perfect. And yeah, some things could have been better, but all in all, if you want a tantalizing romance story, don't hesitate and go watch this movie. It will make you cry.

Confession time... I teared up.

If you want to read my book review of this movie, click here.

Teaser Tuesday, among other things...

Another Tuesday, and you know what that means... Another teaser! (hahahaha...Inside joke)

Anyways, I am currently reading Another Faust, a debut novel which I'm find it to be mysterious, alluring, and completely devilish.

Here is a sneak peak..

"She didn't notice the look on the Udmurt woman's face as she was pulled out of the train. The woman lingered outside for a moment, watching the train take Bice away. Even though it had all happened so fast, and even though her husband had pulled her away too quickly, she was in awe of this miracle she had witnessed- their language, the precious tongue that was fated to die with their generation, being spoken by a young girl in New York.

Without knowing it, Bice left a trail of moments like this, when people came away from their feeling better somehow, cared for- the kind of moments that were the very opposite of all those little evils that Madame Vileroy left in her wake."
Pg. 70-71

Another Faust is very refreshing. With an unique story, and characters. I have a feeling I will really like this one.

In another news my twin Bri from The Book Pixie is having her 100 followers contest!! Congrats girl!!

She is giving away a copy of Ballads of Suburbia! So I advise you guys to head over there right now.

U still here? CLICK HERE NOW.

25 Random Things About Moi

I first saw this at Bree Despain's blog. Thanks to this post I won a copy of Wings!

This is a very fun way for you to get to know a little bit more about me. And well to whoever wants to do this in their blog, please be my guest!

1. I am watching American's Best Dance Crew right now. I wish I could dance, but I was born with 2 left feet so, I have no chance!

2. Although I don't have a dancing talent -one which my sister has, and is very good at- I have an art talent! I dare say i draw very well. Anime is my strong point, but I really want to learn how to draw real people. Need Proof?

That's Chii from Chobits. An anime character I looove to draw because she is the cutest one there is.

3. I hate talking on the phone. Its just, so, BORING. I prefer texting. That way you don't get the awkward silences that make you want to die, or just hang up.

4. I don't have a favorite sweet. My preferences change every month, if not every week. One month i can want Oreos, next month Ill loove Toblerone. I'm like a pregnant lady, except for the fetus, the belly, and everything that comes with it.

5. My very first time writing an essay was last year, and I'm a senior now. Puerto Rican teachers suck. When i told Briana this, Briana from B.A.M. Book Reviews, she fell into a state of shock. Very close to a coma. But yeah, and I got to say essays are a piece of cake. I love doing them, but hate poetry. UGH I have this huge HW concerning poetry, that now I just can't hear the word poetry and not shrug, or shiver.

And well that's that for today. Wait for 4 more posts like this. Hope I didn't bore you guys to death!

Shout out to Faye at Ramblings of a Teenage Bookworm!!! She nominated me for the Zombie Chicken award, and for the Butterfly Award!! I will not repeat the nominees from Ramblings of a Teenage Bookworm, though they all deserve the award a thousand times more.

[butterfly_award.png]

This is difficult, I love so many blogs!! Ok, Ill nominate 7!

1. Briana at The Book Pixie
2. The Penguin at Pirate Penguin's Reads
6. Shayla at The Book Explorer
7. Erica at The Book Cellar

Yay! I'm sorry I couldn't nominate every single one of you guys, you all deserve it!

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

"Love you... Always... World Enough... And Time..."

A dazzling novel in the most untraditional fashion, this is the remarkable story of Henry DeTamble, a dashing, adventuresome librarian who travels involuntarily through time, and Clare Abshire, an artist whose life takes a natural sequential course. Henry and Clare's passionate love affair endures across a sea of time and captures the two lovers in an impossibly romantic trap, and it is Audrey Niffenegger's cinematic storytelling that makes the novel's unconventional chronology so vibrantly triumphant. An enchanting debut and a spellbinding tale of fate and belief in the bonds of love, The Time Traveler's Wife is destined to captivate readers for years to come

Taschima:

First thing I'm going to tell you is, I love romance novels. Second thing is, this book is breath taking. And third thing is, R-E-A-D I-T N-O-W.

Henry is a normal guy, on the outside that is. Genetically speaking he is all messed up. This is because he is a time travelers. Now you might think this is all fun and games, but really is not, is much rather a pain in the butt. But after living a life full of pain and grief, time traveling seem to pay off in the form of Clare, Henry's lover, and soul mate.

Where can I start? the beginning? The end? I mean time don't matter much in this novel so why go with whats chronologically correct?

The novel is writing in two perspectives, Henry's and Clare's. Which I am thankful for cause this way we get to see both sides of the story and go more in depth. There is a time order, but at the same time there isn't. It can be in 2000 then jump back to 1990, or go forward to 2056. But there is always a reason for this.

The novel felt to me like a big puzzle who's parts didn't quite fit. Until you keep reading and it all falls, gracefully, into place. You get to know things the characters aren't even aware of at the moment. You know they're past, present and future, all together, but you just don't know how it all fits.

The cover is very fitting, and you will get it when you read the novel.

The characters are all enjoyable, including the not so important ones. There is MUCH character development. This novel kind of reminds me of The Notebook, but I think it went further on my favorite scale. The lovers seem to really be Soul Mates. You can feel the connection. Each one knew each other always. Even when they meet one of them always knows the other. It's amazing when they actually get to the point in their life's when they are in the same time.

Amazing how the author makes the relationship seem eccentric, even enchanting, rather than screwed up, or sinister.

The ending left me breathless. And, yes, a little whimpering might have occurred. It's just so frustrating! You know what's going to happen, but you just don't want it to. You want to smack somebody with the SAME book and just tell them to get up their butts and do something. But you can't never mess with the future, because it technically already happen. But how can it happen, if it's the future? You see where i'm going? No? Then read the book.

The past, present, future jumble can be a little confusing, but you get the hang of it quickly.

I can't say much more without sopiling it for you. So I will leave you with this...I cannot wait to watch the movie.

Heath Ledger's Last Stand

As you all know Heath Ledger died. He was an amazing actor. Some roles he played were from a gay cowboy called Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain, to the crazy, but incredibly smart, Jocker in The Dark Knight. He was so good in the Dark Night some people started saying he eclipsed Batman and the movie was all about him! Anyhow, he had such great potential... In his last appearance, his last stand, he plays the part of Tony, in The Imagination of Doctor Parnassus.

Here I leave you guys the trailer.

I think it is amazing. This movie has more stars than the sky. Johnny Depp? Heath Ledger? Jude Law? It will be an incredible movie. I am so sad it's his last one. He had such promise. Rest in peace Heath.

"I see dead people..."

Chloe Saunders sees dead people. Yes, like in the films. The problem is, in real life saying you see ghosts gets you a one-way ticket to the psych ward. And at 15, all Chloe wants to do is fit in at school and maybe get a boy to notice her. But when a particularly violent ghost haunts her, she gets noticed for all the wrong reasons. Her seemingly crazed behaviour earns her a trip to Lyle House, a centre for 'disturbed teens'. At first Chloe is determined to keep her head down. But then her room mate disappears after confessing she has a poltergeist, and some of the other patients also seem to be manifesting paranormal behaviour. Could that be a coincidence? Or is Lyle House not quite what it seems...? Chloe realizes that if she doesn't uncover the truth, she could be destined for a lifetime in a psychiatric hospital. Or could her fate be even worse...? Can she trust her fellow students, and does she dare reveal her dark secret?

Taschima's POV:

Interesting.

Chloe isn't your average rich girl, but at the same time she is. She has everything she could even hope for, but doesn't even think about it twice. But instead of only putting her future in the hands of her father, she wants more out of life. She dreams of becoming a Director/Writer, that is, until the day she becomes a woman. PMS hits and her life takes a spin from ordinary to extra-ordinary. Now she is in a loony bin with kids who seem fine enough, but who have dark secrets, and she can swear that she sees ghosts. How will she convince the grown ups she is fine? And harder than that, how can she convince herself?

I have read SO many supernatural books. Like, that is basically my thing. But I have not read one that the character actually let's the outside world know about her wackiness. Thus she is thrown into a loony bin, which would be the normal choice to take, I mean someone who can see ghosts? Talk to the dead? Get out of here!

I mean the first rule of the supernatural world is, do not let, by any chance, anyone know about your powers. But apparently Chloe didn't get that memo.

The book didn't get my attention from the minute I turned the first page, but it rather started working towards it. The story keeps growing, intensity along with it. Secrets, friends, enemies, it's all in this pages.

The characters were normal. No one really caught my interest. Except for Derek. And Chloe after a little while. Derek is the smart one, the dark and broody guy most girls fall for, but he has a non friendly thing going on with him. So when you get close enough to glimpse the real kid inside the mask, you can't help but love him. Chloe also is a swell character. I started liking her more when she didn't take crap from Derek. That made my day.

There is also this character that reminds me of Aphrodite from The House of Night series, that's called Victoria, or Tori. She is as bitchy as Aphrodite in book one, but also has her problems, and this time real ones for all we know.

The story doesn't fall short. It gives it's special thing. Crazy scientist and everything. King of like Maximum Ride, without all the hazzle and confusion.

One thing was that the cover is all about the necklace, but it doesn't play a big role, if any.

Also if you want romance, like hard core one I love you and Id die for you, this ain't your book. It kind of confused me, I didn't know which of the brother's Chloe would choose, although I have a high suspicion for our dark character.

All I know is that I'm going to read the next one. This book showed much promise, and I am sure it won't disappoint in the near future.

In My Mailbox V

Well... I am sorry I didn't post yesterday, but since I got home, which is in... well, not Tampa, sorry for the miss up, I have been unpacking, going to a concert (Mayhem anyone? With All That Remains, Bullet for my Valentine, SLAYER?), & checking my mail.

I got to say that this is my BEST mail week ever, but to be fair I have been 'out' for about 2 months so. Either way, never had so much mail. It's amazing.

My camera is being a bit of a %&*^(, so I can't post my pictures (which are awesome) but I can still show you which books I got, with cover. Let the games begin.

From Amazon, From Me to Me.
